We Had Until Midnight
This album tells the story of a relationship from its bloom to the moment it finally wilted away—full of color, love, fear, and the quiet devastation that follows when something beautiful can’t last.
At the beginning, love didn’t feel like a choice.
It felt like a pull.
Something instinctive. Something I needed to move toward and feel. Being around her filled me with constant butterflies. Slowly, she became all I saw. All my focus went to her. I wanted to be with her always—drawn in by a warmth I couldn’t explain.
Most of our love lived in the snow.
Our relationship truly began in winter, surrounded by white streets and cold air. I still picture it clearly: snow falling softly, the world quiet and frozen—but inside me, everything felt warm. That contrast became the emotional landscape of this album.
The Bloom
A Quiet Ache captures the butterflies I felt when I first met her—the ache of wanting something before knowing what it would become.
The Cloud We Kissed On is that floating feeling, when reality blurs and you feel suspended in something new. We kissed in the rain, and for a moment, everything else disappeared.
Green Eyes & Snowfall is the night I asked her to be mine. Snow fell around us, and I felt pure joy—hope without fear, love without hesitation.
Only You at Midnight holds our first New Year together. Laughter, closeness, staying up late, and that kiss at midnight that felt like a promise. Those were bright moments. Bursts of color. Love in full bloom.
The Fracture
But love can awaken old fears.
Your Tears Cut My Heart comes from the moment I put walls up. I was afraid of being left, afraid of getting hurt—so I left first. That song holds devastation, guilt, and self-protection colliding all at once.
The Silence I Made is remorse. Missing her. Knowing I’d made a mistake. Promising I would never leave again if she would have me back.
Then came Afterglow—The fear of rejection. The anxiety of what to say. The butterflies when I saw her face again. And the overwhelming joy when she said she loved me back, when I told her I loved her for the first time. Everything collided in that moment—fear, hope, relief, love.
The Deepening
We Were Only Light reflects the first time we made love. A deeper connection, where everything felt more real, more true. Love wasn’t just emotional anymore—it was embodied, grounding, alive.
But time changes things.
The Warmth Was Fleeting takes place a time later. We were still together, still in love—but struggling. Communication was hard. We wanted different things. The love was there, but it felt fragile. Neither of us wanted to let go, even as the weight grew heavier.
The Ending
You Took the Morning is where everything breaks.
When she ended things, I felt a devastation I’d never known. Depression. Emptiness. The inability to imagine a life without her. It felt like waking up to a world that no longer made sense.
Our Curse lives years later. We crossed paths again and rekindled something—but the same issues followed us. That love felt real, but incomplete. Confusing. Like something that was never meant to fully exist again, no matter how badly we wanted it to.
Why I Wrote This Album
This love changed me.
It softened me.
It gave me warmth through each day.
Talking through emotions has always been difficult for me—but writing, creating, and making music allows me to process in a way that feels honest and safe. This album is how I made sense of love, loss, fear, and growth.
I want that warmth again—someday—with the right person, when I’m ready.
For the Listener
My hope is that you don’t just hear these songs—you feel them.
The joy.
The anxiety.
The happiness.
The sadness.
The depression.
The love.
If you’re living through something similar—if you’re in the bloom, the fracture, or the quiet aftermath—I hope this album helps you feel less alone.
We all have moments we live in until midnight.
This was mine.
