I feel like there's something bigger happening beneath the surface. Like we're not as separate as we pretend to be.
I think about the idea of a collective consciousness. The possibility that we're all connected by something unseen. Not in a mystical, unreachable way, but in a way that is simple and human. Energy. Emotion. Intention. The way a smile can change a room. The way anger spreads. The way kindness lingers longer than we expect.
I dont believe we move through this world alone. I think we move together, whether we realize it or not.
Every thought carries weight. Every action leaves a mark. Every interaction adds something to the shared space we all exist in.
When a person chooses empathy, it ripples outward. When a person chooses cruelty, it does the same.
That's what makes community so important. Not just in music, but in life. We weren't meant to isolate ourselves, compete endlessly, or define each other by labels. Race, gender, age, background - these are details, not dividers. Beneath all of that, we're experiencing the same core life experiences: fear, love, hope, loss, longing.
We're all trying to feel safe.
We're all trying to feel seen.
I believe our energy is meant to be a positive force in this world. Not perfect. Not always “happy”, but intentional. Thoughtful. Aware of how we affect one another. If we understood how deeply connected we are, maybe we'd move a little softer. Listen a little longer. Choose our words with more care.
Maybe we'd remember that helping someone else doesn't take anything away from us, it adds to the whole.
Music is one way I try to tap into that shared space. It's not just sound, it's emotion traveling from one person to another. A feeling passing hands. A reminder that you're not alone in what you carry.
If there is a collective mind, then I want to contribute something gentle to it. Something honest.
Maybe it takes just one person to pull the thread to reveal it all.
